For as long as I can remember, I've loved asking people questions. It's probably why I'm high-key obsessed with brand strategy — and it's exactly what led me to start doing Instagram Lives, which I ended up calling Moments of Moxie.

The idea was simple: invite past clients — and cool people I've met along my entrepreneurial journey — on IG with me on Monday nights for about 45 minutes to talk about themselves, their businesses, what they're currently manifesting, and their most recent "moment of Moxie." (Inspired by Sophia Amoruso asking her guests on Girlboss Radio about their latest Girlboss moment ;))

Why I started this: To be blunt — brand attachment. I wanted to get in front of my clients' people, because chances are, their audience looked a lot like my clients themselves — the people who hired me. Which meant others like them might hire me too. But just as much, I wanted to shout these amazing humans' stories and purposes from the rooftops, clients and non-clients alike. It also made marketing Moxie Made way more fun, and scheduling interviews held me accountable to actually show up and do it.

There's something magical that happens when you stop talking about a brand and start talking to the human behind it. Every business has a heartbeat — a reason it exists beyond the products, the services, the logo, or the Instagram grid.

So Moments of Moxie became my little corner of the internet where I get to hand the microphone to my clients, and to other founders and creatives I've crossed paths with along the way. We talk about their purpose, their pivots, the messy middle, the wins, and the moments that shaped the businesses they run today.

The real gold, though, is that these conversations double as one of my strongest brand attachment strategies. I get to spend time with my clients — and with cool people I've met along my entrepreneurial journey — and bring their stories to light. And because their audience often looks a lot like the people who hire me, Moments of Moxie has become a way for us to step into each other's circles in a way that feels genuine instead of salesy.

My guests get another opportunity to introduce their mission to a new audience. I get to introduce my community to some genuinely remarkable humans. Our audiences overlap, connect, refer one another, and sometimes even become customers or collaborators themselves.

That's the kind of marketing I'll always get behind.

It's relationship-first. Story-first. Human-first.

Have I thought about turning Moments of Moxie into a full podcast? Yep. Someday. I've got a growing list of people I'd love to sit down with for longer conversations, and I know there are so many more stories waiting to be told. For now, life (and client work!) keeps it in reel format — but something tells me this series is only getting started.

If you've got a Moment of Moxie of your own, I'd love to hear it. Drop it in the comments, or better yet — fill out the form here, and maybe I'll see you on Insta soon!

A few of my favorite Moments of Moxie

One of my favorite Moments of Moxie (this one was hard to choose) was my very first interview with one of my first mentors in this business + dear friend, Ada Oliver of Oliver Creative. It was a full circle moment to have her on and get to geek out over all things branding - the good, the funny, the uncomfortable, all of it. And defining what “branding” actually means and how branding cattle isn’t too far off ;) Watch the live here.

Another conversation that has stayed with me was with Michelle Wes of Salon Uncensored. Michelle is just so pure. Her intention is literally uplifting and so filled with hope. On top of this, getting to hear her say the words out loud that we baked into her brand messaging and witness how it just flowed so naturally - it is THE biggest reassurance that I am doing what I am meant to be doing. Watch the live here.

If you want to hear more incredible stories, I'm linking a full library of Moment of Moxie below. I hope you find one that inspires you, encourages you, or simply reminds you that behind every business is a human with a story worth telling, including yours!
